Booking a Male or Female Therapist

Both are on staff here. How to ask for the one you want, what happens if they are booked, and why nobody needs your reasoning.

We employ both male and female licensed therapists, and you can book whichever you prefer. That is the short version, and for a lot of people it is the only fact on this site that determines whether they book at all.

A surprising number of studios cannot actually deliver on this. They either staff one gender almost entirely, or they take the request at the desk and then hope you will not mind when the schedule does not cooperate. We would rather tell you honestly what is available on the day you want than take a booking we cannot honor.

How to ask: say it in the first thirty seconds of the phone call. Not at the end, and definitely not when you arrive. Preference is a scheduling constraint, and the earlier the front desk knows, the more likely there is a slot that satisfies it. Something as plain as wanting a woman, or wanting a man, is enough. No one will ask why.

That last part is worth stating outright. You do not owe anybody an explanation. It might be a comfort thing, a modesty thing, a religious thing, something in your history, or simply a preference you have always had. None of it is the studio's business, and any request phrased as a preference gets treated as a requirement.

If the therapist matching your preference is not free at the time you want, we will say so and offer you the alternatives, which are usually a different hour the same day or the same hour on a different day. What we will not do is book you in anyway and let you discover it in the room.

You can change your mind. If you booked without specifying and then realized on the drive over that it matters, call from the car. If you had a session that was fine but you would rather try someone else next time, ask for that at the desk. Nobody takes it personally and requests like this are made every week.

If you have seen a particular therapist before and want them again, name them when you call. Regular pairings are common and there is no premium for asking.

Whichever you book, the standards are identical. Every therapist here holds a current Utah massage license, carries liability coverage, and works under enforced conduct and confidentiality rules. Draping practice does not vary by who is in the room.

One thing preference cannot substitute for: if anything in a session feels wrong, with any therapist, end it. Say stop, get dressed, and speak to the front desk. You will not be charged for the remaining time and you will not have to argue about it.

To book with a preference, call (801) 288-1118 and lead with it.
