Prenatal Massage for Sandy, Utah

We are not in Sandy. We are twenty minutes north on I-15. Here is how to make that drive worth it, and when to time it.

Start with the honest part. There is no Sandy location. Our studio is in downtown Salt Lake City, roughly twenty minutes up I-15 from the 9000 South interchange when the freeway cooperates. At thirty-plus weeks, twenty minutes each way is a genuine cost, and pretending it is nothing would be a bad way to begin.

So the question is whether the drive earns itself. A few things that decide it.

Time of day does most of the work. Northbound I-15 in the morning commute is slow and unpleasant, and the same stretch southbound at five in the afternoon is worse. We open at ten in the morning and take clients until ten at night, every day of the week. A 10:30 appointment or anything after seven usually means an open freeway in both directions. If the only slot you can get is at four, consider taking the next day instead.

Length matters too. If you are driving forty minutes round trip, a sixty-minute session can feel thin by the time you are back on the freeway. Ninety minutes, at $155, tends to be the one Sandy clients settle on. There is also a thirty-minute prenatal extension for $50 if you decide once you are here that you are in no hurry to get up.

Parking is free at our building, which is not a small thing when the trip already includes a freeway. You are not circling for a spot or feeding a meter while you are on the table. Pull in, walk a short distance, and that is the end of the logistics.

Bring someone if the drive is the part you dread. Plenty of people are dropped off and picked up. There is no rule about it and nobody at the front desk will find it strange.

The session itself is side-lying. Bolsters and pillows hold you in position and the therapist works around them. Both men and women are on staff and you can request either. All of them carry an active Utah massage license. Call (801) 288-1118 to book, and say up front that you are driving in from the south end of the valley so we can put you in a time that does not have you sitting in traffic afterward.

The health question is one we hand back to you deliberately. Whether massage is appropriate for your pregnancy is something to work out with your doctor or midwife, not with a receptionist. Ask them, then tell us what they said.

If the drive is genuinely not worth it to you, that is a reasonable conclusion and we would rather you reach it before booking than after. Sandy has therapists closer to home. What we can offer is a downtown studio open late seven days a week, free parking at the door, and a prenatal session that is built to be gentle rather than efficient. If that combination is worth the freeway, we are easy to reach.
